AppealDraft (operated by InfoTilt, Inc.) handles legal documents, so we keep what we collect to a minimum and protect it carefully.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Case details and documents you enter and upload: party names, court information, your draft brief and record documents, and the documents we produce.
- Payment records: amount, date and the payment provider’s reference. Card and PayPal details are handled by Stripe and PayPal; we never see your card number.
- Technical data: a session cookie to keep you signed in, security logs, and anonymous visit statistics.
How documents are processed
Your uploads are stored on our server outside the public web folder and can only be downloaded by you (and by our staff when needed to fix a problem with your order). To format your brief, the text of your draft and the case details are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, through its commercial API. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models and deletes it after a limited retention period under its commercial terms.
How long we keep it
Uploaded and produced files are deleted automatically 365 days after your order is completed; you can delete an unpaid appeal and its files at any time, and ask us to delete a completed one sooner. Payment records are kept as tax law requires.
Sharing
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run AppealDraft (hosting, email, payment processing, the AI provider) or when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can see and change your account details on your account page, and ask us for a copy or deletion of your data through the contact page.
